Knockelly Castle is a privately owned 15th-century tower house, surrounded by intact bawn walls and ancient meadows in the heart of County Tipperary. It is a family home, a living conservation project, and now, by appointment, a place to explore by guided tours.

Visitors are welcome by appointment throughout the year. Tours are led by Jeremy Emmet-Booth and can include both the castle grounds and the restoration of the medieval Gate House.

  • Private Tour Fee: €60 minimum

  • Group Rate: €10 per person for groups of 7 or more

Please note: the site is uneven underfoot, with rough and bumpy ground. Visitors must take care and wear appropriate footwear. The complete tour is not currently suitable for buggies or those with limited mobility.
